Allison Transmission supplies the 4800 Specialty Series transmission for Israel's Eitan 8x8 armored fighting vehicle, which replaced aging M113 APCs and became operational in 2023. AFSC Investigate documents the Eitan's deployment inside the occupied Gaza Strip during the 2023-2025 war and its first use in the occupied West Bank in February 2025. Additionally, Allison transmissions power multiple U.S.-supplied tactical vehicles transferred to the IDF, including the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), and Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTT), all manufactured by Oshkosh. The Israeli Ministry of Defense directly selected the Allison 4800 SP for the Eitan program.
