Arvinas develops targeted protein degradation therapies using proprietary PROTAC technology. Preclinical validation of lead candidates bavdegalutamide (ARV-110, prostate cancer) and vepdegestrant (ARV-471, breast cancer) relied on MCF-7 orthotopic xenograft mouse models, in which human cancer cells are implanted into mammary fat pads to induce tumor formation, followed by 28-day oral dosing to measure tumor growth inhibition. Patient-derived xenograft models were used to evaluate androgen receptor degradation in abiraterone-resistant tumors.
