Capri Holdings Limited is screened out under 2 exclusion reasons spanning 1 issue category.

This page is part of our public exclusion list — a transparency tool that shows which companies we screen out and why. It is not investment advice, and it is not an accusation. It is a statement of values.

Animal Exploitation
Since Oct 14, 2021

Capri Holdings Limited, the parent company of luxury fashion brands Michael Kors, Versace, and Jimmy Choo, designs and sells products made from exotic animal skins, including snakeskin and crocodile leather. This commercial use of animal-derived materials for fashion accessories and apparel constitutes exploitation not covered by more specific child codes.

The company has faced direct public pressure over this practice. In 2020, animal welfare advocates challenged Capri Holdings with the question: “When will Capri Holdings protect public health and animal welfare by no longer sourcing exotic animal skins?” This highlights ongoing scrutiny of its supply chain for materials linked to animal cruelty and wildlife trade.

Fur & Exotic Skins
Since Sep 1, 2020

PETA - Capri Holdings Limited; Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo documented using alligator, snake, crocodile exotic skins with no public ban as of 2020 PETA campaign; Versace sold to Prada Group (completed Dec 2, 2025)

Companies appear on our exclusion list based on our investment judgment — not because they've done anything illegal. This is a difference of values and opinion, not an accusation of wrongdoing. Exclusion does not constitute a recommendation against investing in any company, and absence from the list does not constitute a recommendation to invest.
