California Resources Corporation is a pure-play upstream oil and gas exploration and production company operating exclusively across California's major sedimentary basins, including San Joaquin, Los Angeles, Ventura, and Sacramento. Per the company's FY2024 annual results, average net production was 141,000 BOE/d, of which 79% was oil. Approximately 81% of the company's proved reserves are located in the San Joaquin Basin, where the company holds roughly 1.3 million net mineral acres, approximately 89% held in fee. The Elk Hills field alone averaged 31,000 BOE/d, accounting for 28% of total production. FY2024 adjusted EBITDAX was $316 million with adjusted net income of $84 million. CRC's entire business model is built on upstream fossil fuel extraction from California's mature oil basins.
