DRH Real Estate Current as of March 2026

This page is part of our public exclusion list — a transparency tool that shows which companies we screen out and why. It is not investment advice, and it is not an accusation. But it is subject to change as our understanding of the facts evolves.

Animal Exploitation
Since Oct 14, 2021

Diamondrock Hospitality Company is a real estate investment trust that owns and operates hotels and resorts. Its business model includes deriving revenue from food and beverage operations at its properties, which serve meat, dairy, and other animal products. This commercial activity constitutes exploitation of animals as defined by the fund's criteria.

A 2011 shareholder proposal sought to implement certain animal welfare policies at the company, indicating investor concern over this aspect of its operations. The proposal did not pass. There is no public evidence of a company-wide policy or commitment to sourcing animal products from higher-welfare suppliers or reducing the volume of such products served across its portfolio.

Companies appear on our exclusion list based on our investment judgment — not because they've done anything illegal. This is a difference of values and opinion, not an accusation of wrongdoing. Exclusion does not constitute a recommendation against investing in any company, and absence from the list does not constitute a recommendation to invest.
