Conflict & War Zones
Since Feb 5, 2025

Palantir Technologies provides its data integration and analytics platforms to military and intelligence agencies operating in active conflict zones, materially supporting armed conflict. The company’s technology is used to coordinate military data and operations among U.S. allies in the Middle East. In 2026, Palantir's CEO stated its AI gives the U.S. an edge in the Middle East conflict, and the company’s stock price has risen in response to regional escalation, trading like a defense stock.

Palantir’s platforms are specifically deployed in high-conflict zones in the Middle East, where they are believed to enhance military targeting capabilities. The company acknowledges in its SEC filings that it provides platforms, products, personnel, and services to support operations in conflict zones. Amnesty International has raised concerns that Palantir’s AI-driven products, when improperly used in these zones, can contribute to serious human rights violations. There is no public evidence that Palantir’s work in these theaters is limited to providing essential civilian services that would leave the population materially worse off without it; its described role is to enhance military and intelligence operations.

Palantir Technologies provides data analytics software and services to the Israeli military and government agencies operating in occupied Palestinian territories. In October 2024, Norwegian asset manager Storebrand excluded Palantir from its portfolios, citing the company’s work supporting the occupation. A United Nations Special Rapporteur has subsequently accused the company of “profiting from genocide” in Gaza. AFSC Investigate lists Palantir on its divestment list for companies supporting activities in illegal Israeli settlements. The company’s technology is also reported to be used at Israeli military checkpoints within the occupied territories.

Military Contracting
Since Nov 13, 2021

Palantir Technologies Inc. develops and markets specialized software platforms designed for military and intelligence applications. Its core product offerings include the Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) for the U.S. Army, an artificial intelligence targeting system for which it won a $100 million contract in 2024. In 2025, the company secured a $10 billion AI contract with the U.S. Army. The company operates a dedicated "Palantir Defense Solutions" division, marketing its data analytics platforms explicitly to military customers for battlefield intelligence, targeting, and autonomous weapons systems integration.

These platforms are purpose-built for warfare, distinguishing them from dual-use commercial products. The scale of this business is material; defense and government contracts constitute a primary revenue stream for the company, with one analysis noting that "war boosts revenue and politically legitimises military budgets." The company's leadership actively defends and promotes this line of business, with the CEO stating the firm is "all in" on expanding its government and defense contracts.
