Perrigo Company operates in occupied Palestinian territory through its subsidiary Agis Industries (1983) Ltd., which it acquired in 2005. Agis is Israel's second-largest pharmaceutical company and holds a dominant position in the Palestinian market, where its products move without customs or checkpoints. This business activity integrates Perrigo into the economic structures of the occupation.
In February 2021, the University of California Irvine student government passed a resolution (19 to 3) calling for the university to divest from Perrigo, citing the company’s operations in occupied territories. The company is also listed in the “The Company They Keep” report by the American Friends Service Committee, which documents corporate involvement in the occupation, and has been cited by the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement as a target for divestment campaigns.
