TripAdvisor lists and promotes tourism accommodations and activities located in Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. Its platform includes listings in these settlements in the occupied West Bank, which are considered illegal under international law. The company's business facilitates economic activity that sustains these settlements.
In 2019, Amnesty International reported that digital tourism companies, including TripAdvisor, were profiting from war crimes by listing properties in these illegal settlements. A 2025 United Nations report listed TripAdvisor among more than 150 companies with ties to illegal Israeli settlements. Despite public campaigns and an open letter from its own staff urging the company to address this issue, TripAdvisor has continued this practice.
