UGI Corporation is a party to a Superfund site cleanup under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). In May 2002, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published a proposed administrative settlement requiring UGI Corporation to pay $13,499.42 to the EPA Hazardous Substance Superfund. The settlement, documented in the Federal Register (67 FR 35813), addressed environmental contamination at a specified site, naming UGI Corporation as a responsible settling party. This enforcement action places the company among those with documented federal liability for environmental remediation.
