The Net Zero Asset Managers initiative relaunched with 250 signatories after suspending activities a year ago — but with reduced commitments, no 2050 net zero deadline, and no interim 2030 targets. Sloane Ortel, chief investment officer at Utah-based Ethical Capital, called it a walk-back: “There are no targets, no formal pledges. Instead of organising towards a specific goal, they’re organising in a (general) direction.”
